Position Size is a calculator. Everything you type into it is processed on your phone and written to the app’s private storage:

• your account currency, account balance and default risk percentage
• the instrument you picked, your stop-loss, entry and target prices, and your lot and margin inputs
• your saved presets, any custom instrument and its point value
• any manual exchange-rate override you enter
• your onboarding and settings choices

We never upload any of it. There is no account, no sign-in, and no server of ours that could receive it — we do not operate one. We cannot see your balance or the positions you size, and we could not hand them to anyone if we were asked, because we do not have them. The calculator itself works with the phone in airplane mode; it has no price feed and no broker connection.

Uninstalling the app deletes all of it from your device.

The app leaves Android’s standard automatic backup switched on. That is a feature of the operating system, not of ours: Android may copy the app’s stored data — your balance, risk percentage, presets, custom instruments and settings — to your own Google account, so that reinstalling or moving to a new phone restores what you had.

That copy belongs to you and sits in your Google Drive backup quota under Google’s terms. It is not sent to us and we have no access to it. We would rather say this plainly than claim that nothing at all leaves the phone.

If you do not want it, turn it off in Android Settings → Google → Backup, or per-app where your device offers that, and delete any existing backup from Google Drive → Backups.

The app is free, with every feature unlocked, and is funded by advertising. Advertising is the one part that uses the network, and it is provided by Google AdMob. To serve ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK collects and shares with Google:

• your device’s advertising identifier, a resettable ID assigned by Android
• approximate location, derived from your IP address at country or region level — the app requests no location permission and has no access to GPS
• device information — model, operating-system version, language and screen size
• ad interactions — which ads were shown, viewed or tapped

This is used to select ads, measure their performance and detect fraud. It is collected by Google as a third party, not by us, and Google may share it with its advertising partners. We receive only aggregate, non-identifying earnings reports. We never receive your data, and we never sell anything to anyone.

To understand which features are used and to find and fix crashes and slowness, the app uses Google Firebase — specifically Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Performance Monitoring. What this involves:

• All three ship switched off and stay off until consent is resolved. Where the law requires consent (including the EEA, the UK and Switzerland), nothing is collected before you answer the consent form, and nothing is collected if you decline. The app deliberately does not treat "you may still see non-personalised ads" as permission to collect — refusing means refusing.
• Declining stops all three together. Analytics, crash reporting and performance monitoring are switched by the same answer; there is no separate setting that could quietly disagree with it. If you withdraw consent, collection stops, buffered analytics data is reset and unsent crash reports are deleted.
• What is collected is anonymous usage and diagnostic data — for example that a position was sized, which asset class it belonged to, that a preset was saved, that an explainer was opened, that an input error was shown, plus crash stack traces, device model, OS version and app start-up timing.

Your financial figures are never part of it. No balance, risk amount, stop-loss, entry price, lot size or position value is ever sent, and neither is the symbol you traded — only its asset class. Ad revenue values are reported in ranges rather than amounts. The app is built so that a figure you typed cannot become part of an analytics event.

Where the law requires it (including the EEA, the UK and Switzerland), the app asks for your consent before any personalised advertising, using Google’s User Messaging Platform, and asks before the ads SDK is initialised rather than after.

Refusing is a real choice. The app keeps working in full, every feature stays unlocked, and you continue to see ads — non-personalised ones, which do not use your advertising identifier for profiling.

Reopens the consent form so you can change your answer at any time. The row appears only where a consent form legally exists — elsewhere Google presents no form, so showing the row would promise an action that does nothing.

A plain on/off switch for analytics, crash reporting and performance monitoring, available everywhere — including outside the EEA, where no consent form is shown. Where consent was refused this reads Off and turning it on changes nothing: consent is the other half of the gate and consent wins.

Reset or delete your advertising identifier outside the app. If you switch on "Delete advertising ID", the app receives no advertising ID at all.

Residents of US states with applicable privacy laws — including California (CCPA/CPRA), Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and others — can opt out of the sale or sharing of their personal information for targeted advertising. Where Google presents its US states privacy message, the app shows it, and Settings → Usage statistics turns off analytics, crash and performance collection regardless of where you live.

We do not sell personal information for money in any event; the opt-out covers "sharing" for advertising as those laws define it.

To load ads and the consent form and, where permitted, send anonymous usage statistics, crash reports and performance traces. The calculator itself does not use the internet.

That is the complete list. The app never requests location, camera, microphone, contacts, storage, phone state, notifications, or the list of apps installed on your device.

We retain nothing ourselves — we operate no server and no database. Data held by Google is retained under Google’s own controls: advertising data per Google’s privacy policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy), Firebase Analytics per the retention window configured on the project, and Crashlytics crash reports for 90 days.

Data transmitted by the advertising and telemetry SDKs is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Data stored by the app is held in Android’s per-app private storage, which other apps on the device cannot read.

This app is a financial calculator intended for adults (18+). It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect any data from children. If you believe a child has used the app and you want their advertising identifier disassociated, contact us at the address above and reset the device advertising identifier.

Position Size performs arithmetic on numbers you supply. It does not provide financial, investment or trading advice, does not connect to any broker, and does not execute, recommend or signal trades.

Contract specifications, lot minimums and point values vary between brokers and change over time — verify them against your own platform before sizing a real position. You are solely responsible for your trading decisions.

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above changes with it, and the updated policy is published at this address. Where a change affects what is collected, a fresh consent request is shown in the app.
